Brief Overview Containment Systems BV was formed in the late 90’s and developed a complete range of Ball Segment Valves named “Lunar”. These valves have been supplied on powder charging and discharging service in many of the worlds leading pharmaceutical companies. The unique properties of the Ball-Segment valve are that it can handle both liquid and dry abrasive products from fine powder to course abrasives. Induchem & Containment Systems Induchem have supplied a number of Containment Systems Ball Segment valves to pharmaceutical companies in Ireland including, Janssen, Pfizer, Takeda and Yamanouchi. The inflatable seat design of this valve has enabled customers to establish bi-directional shutoff on pharmaceutical powder under positive pressure and vacuum conditions. This is achieved while eliminating wear and tear due to the inflatable seal principle.
